With Autumn on the way (yay I can finally start layering!), I thought I'd share 3 ways to style a blue denim bag for this cooler season. Why? Because sometimes denim bags are kept for spring/summer only, but I truly think they look great all year round. In Autumn especially, denim bags are perfect because their cool blue tone balances out the rest of our clothing which tends to take on a more earthy and warm tone.
Look 1: Double denim with warm accents
So for my first look, I paired my dark blue Hobo Zero with a lighter blue denim midi dress and balanced that with a wool scarf with warm hues and a brown, braided leather belt. This outfit felt put together yet casual, warm and comfortable. The trick here was to mix textures and tones - smooth denim with textured wool and leather; cool blue denim with warm brown/red accents from the scarf and belt. Also, when wearing double denim I like to ensure that one piece is darker (bag) than the other (dress) for abit of contrast!

Look 2: Beige coat and denim
It's pretty hard not to wear camel/beige/brown in the Autumn, we just naturally gravitate towards and want to snuggle into those warm earthy tones. Doesn't mean your bag has to follow suit! Here I've smothered myself in a camel coat over a white shirt and blue jeans. The colour of the jeans is a dark blue like the Hobo Zero bag, which helps to 'unite the denim' and bring some cohesion to the outfit. Because I have cool undertones I popped the white colour of my shirt up over the collar of the camel coat, but if you're warm toned then try adding a cream top like a poloneck instead. Lastly I wore a wooden beaded necklace, again for those Autumn vibes. Like the previous outfit, the fuzzy coat is balanced with the smooth denim bag (balanced textures).

Look 3: Lightweight blazer and casual tee
Autumn is about layering and I do love a lightweight blazer for this reason. They're so easy to throw on over an otherwise casual outfit (in this case a graphic tee and jogger pants), and instantly elevate anything you're wearing. I've worn a light blue blazer here, but it could easily have been a black, beige, cream or camel blazer. Then add the slouchy Hobo Zero and the outfit becomes cool and effortless. A final touch of bling for the earrings, and we're off to stylishly conquer the world.
